Housekeeping Supervisor - Join Our Team at BAM Finstown, Orkney!

Location: BAM Finstown, Orkney
Department: ESS
Reporting to: Camp Boss

Are you an experienced housekeeping professional with leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high standards? We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and support our housekeeping team, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment while delivering an excellent customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Supervising the housekeeping team to ensure high-quality service delivery
  2. Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment
  3. Conducting regular audits and quality checks to uphold standards
  4. Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
  5. Training and developing staff to maintain required skills and performance
  6. Handling rotas, timesheets, and ensuring staffing levels meet operational needs
  7. Managing stock, equipment, and costs within budgetary requirements
  8. Engaging with the team through regular meetings and performance reviews
  9. Reporting any hazards, near misses, and accidents promptly
  10. Supporting general housekeeping duties when required
What We're Looking For:
  1. Experience in a similar supervisory role
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills
  3. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH
  4. Ability to work independently and within a team
  5. High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  6. Flexible and proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  7. IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
  8. Checkable references
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
  1. NVQ Level 2 in a relevant area
  2. BICS Level 1 or Level 2 certification
  3. Experience working in a commercial FM environment
