If you have experience working with children and families and are passionate about supporting them in achieving sustained change, we would like to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Help Practitioner to join the Family Help Team covering the Norwich area. The office base is at County Hall in Norwich.
We are seeking an experienced practitioner capable of managing a complex caseload of Family Help cases.
We offer a friendly and supportive working environment that promotes learning and development through the guidance of an experienced management team.
Our purpose in Family Help is to keep children and young people safe through early intervention, preventing the need for statutory involvement. We work alongside families, their networks, and other professionals to identify concerns, create support plans, and empower families to effect positive change.
Your role as a Family Help Practitioner will be varied and challenging, requiring resilience. The role is fast-paced, so flexibility, initiative, and a broad skill set are essential for managing workload and supporting the wider team. As families' needs and situations can change rapidly, you must be able to prioritize, adapt your practice, and remain calm under pressure.
Family Help is a strengths-based service, centering on the child, whose voice and views are paramount. You will need to identify and understand risks, reviewing them throughout each case.
Good IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and databases, along with effective communication at all levels.
