Qualifications

Are you a Clinical Psychologist specialising in CBT or a CBT therapist and would like to expand your career in NHS Talking Therapies

NHS Talking Therapies services across England are recruiting clinical psychologists with BABCP Accreditation who are newly or recently qualified, or entering or returning to NHS practice. It is an exciting time to join the service, which has received new government investment to expand the workforce and enhance patient outcomes through innovation.

About the role

We have a really exciting opportunity for 2 new colleagues to join our amazing Talking Therapies team and make a difference to the lives of people in our community living with mental health needs.

The role involves providing disorder specific assessments, formulation and the delivery of evidence based high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy . This role will entail providing interventions to people with anxiety disorders and depression for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

You will work within the locality delivering step 3 Talking Therapies, NICE compliant psychological therapies face to face, digitally (online and via telephone) and in a range of community settings. Adapting what we offer to make our treatments more accessible is a critical characteristic of what we do. You will receive regular clinical supervision and peer group support

About you

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who have relevant clinical experience and qualifications.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a high volume, performance managed service, and manage your own caseload and time.

You should be BABCP accredited and have completed a recognised HIT training course.

  • Hold a Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Interventions or other Post Graduate CBT training qualification Hold BABCP accreditation or be working towards full accreditation
  • Are looking to work for an innovative provider who really values you and your career development Have a proven track record of delivering high quality disorder specific assessments, formulation and protocol-based CBT interventions that reflect local and national priorities and targets.
  • Able to demonstrate good therapeutic relationships with people. Able to undertake thorough risk assessments.
  • Able to organise high volume workload to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of objectives. Are flexible to meet the needs of the service.
  • Are committed to improving access to psychological therapies and working within these services for your future career development.
  • Additional EMDR training and NHS Talking Therapies HIT Supervisor training are desirable

The service delivers a range of therapies up to and including Step 4 interventions, with practitioners based primarily in Bootle and Southport. The service has a team of Managers, Administration and practitioners all working together to support the people within the local communities.
