Are you a scriptwriter with knowledge and abilities in storytelling and creative writing? Do you have an interest in the off-road mountain biking industry and racing? If so, Play Sports Network may have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are looking for a scriptwriter to join our team to plan, write, and help schedule content across all our off-road channels (mountain biking, e-mountain biking, and tech). You’ll work closely with the Presenters, Content Manager, and Production Coordinator to ensure high-quality, well-scripted content.

You should have knowledge of, or a strong interest in developing expertise in, the off-road mountain biking industry, as you’ll be creating and reviewing content about mountain biking. Excellent writing abilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues are essential.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Script Creation: Research, write, and manage the creation of 10 in-depth scripts weekly for the off-road channels.
2. Content Planning & Ideas: Develop 5 content ideas weekly, research, draft, and pitch ideas for the channels.
3. SEO/Evergreen Scripts: Research and write 50-100 SEO/evergreen scripts annually.
4. Content Plan Management: Collate and refine ideas from the team for approval.
5. Production Management: Collaborate with production and presenting teams to ensure scripts are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
6. Quality Control: Review videos before release to ensure quality and adherence to plans.
7. Market Knowledge: Maintain high knowledge of mountain biking and EMTB disciplines.
8. Writing & Sub-editing: Write and edit copy for various content and marketing purposes.
9. Additional Duties: Source props, write social scripts, or undertake other tasks as needed.
10. Brand Voice: Understand and maintain the tone of each channel’s brand.
