GE Grid Solutions, Grid Systems Integration (GSI), is seeking an OT Cyber Security Engineer to work on High Voltage AC and DC substation tenders and projects.

The successful candidate will be based in Stafford, Villeurbanne, or Glasgow.

GE Grid Solutions, a GE Renewable Energy business, serves customers globally with over 2,200 employees. We provide equipment, systems, and services to power utilities and industries, ensuring reliable and efficient power delivery from generation to end consumers.

Grid Systems Integration (GSI) focuses on addressing energy transition challenges by enabling the safe and reliable connection of renewable and distributed energy resources, including High Voltage DC and AC, FACTS, and service agreements. We aim to electrify the world with advanced grid technologies and accelerate the energy transition.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain the Security Assurance Plan (SAP) for the project and discuss it with relevant teams and customers.
2. Contribute to cybersecurity design and requirements.
3. Conduct and participate in cybersecurity engineering design reviews.
4. Create and maintain cybersecurity documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
5. Adhere to delivery and quality processes and guidelines.
6. Develop detailed test plans and procedures to verify cybersecurity functions.
7. Guide on configuring cybersecurity devices (Switches, hubs, servers, Jump boxes, etc.).
8. Perform cybersecurity unit and integration testing and support testing activities.

Skills & Experience

• University degree in engineering, ideally with specialization in Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in project security, preferably in an OT environment.
• Experience in electrical industry or similar roles.
• Knowledge of Industrial communication network security and IEC 62443 standards.
• Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Knowledge of NERC CIP standards.

Desired Characteristics

• Proactive, sense of urgency, autonomous, and able to collaborate globally.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
• Cybersecurity certification is advantageous.
