Vetro Education is seeking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to work in a secondary school in the Cardiff area. The school supports learners in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form. Vetro has been tasked with finding a suitable candidate to take on this role for the entire 2025-2026 academic year. The successful D&T Teacher will be responsible for the full range of teaching duties, including planning, marking, parents' evenings, and school events. Weekly PPA time will be provided for planning and preparation.

The role is full-time, five days a week, teaching Year 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE and A-Level classes. The position begins in September 2025 and runs for the full academic year.

• Hours: Full time, Long Term - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:10 pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a D&T Teacher:

• Leading a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form
• Preparing classrooms for lessons and planning schemes of work as needed
• Delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Engaging learners through classroom and lab-based activities
• Following the school's behaviour management policies

The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a D&T Teacher:

• At least 1 year of D&T teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs)
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an overseas equivalent
• Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) - assistance available
• References covering the last two years with no gaps
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• The right to work in the UK
