Job description

Long-term contract opportunity (minimum two years) working on a Data Centre project in South Wales.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a background in engineering, construction, or utilities sectors.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage movement and storage of M&E equipment.
2. Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics activities on site, including ordering and delivery of materials.
3. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials.
4. Manage the logistics team, ensuring high performance and adherence to policies, project requirements, and safety legislation.
5. Create logistics plans and schedules to meet project deliverables.
6. Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of critical materials and equipment.
7. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
8. Resolve logistics issues promptly as they arise.
9. Utilize Datascope to book deliveries, cranes, hoists, etc.
10. Use Datatouch for lookaheads, planning storage on site, and enabling just-in-time delivery processes.
11. Attend logistics meetings.
