Job description

Who are Cardo Group?

Cardo Group is a family of companies delivering building maintenance services to local authorities, social housing providers, and their residents.

Our multi-company group provides quality, value-for-money maintenance, compliance, and retrofit services across the south west, south east, and midlands. Future plans include expanding into a national footprint.

We are currently looking for a Fleet Support to join our team.

Within this role, you will support the Fleet Manager with vehicle compliance, ensuring our vehicles are repaired promptly and minimizing the time vehicles are VOR (Vehicle Off Road), while managing all related administration. You will also be responsible for handover & receipt of vehicles, ensuring they are clean and presentable.

Accountability / Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Cardo employees to arrange routine servicing and MOTs.
  • Ensure vehicle collisions are promptly reported to insurers and arrange repairs.
  • Resolve fleet enquiries from all areas of the business via phone & email, managing a fleet inbox.
  • Update driver and vehicle keeper records, ensuring license checks are completed and verified.
  • Facilitate vehicle handovers to new employees.
  • Complete inspections on returned vans and perform ad hoc inspections.
  • Maintain all vehicles to Cardo’s high standards—cleanliness, organization, and equipment checks (fire extinguishers, seat covers, first aid kits, spill kits).
  • Perform cleaning of company vehicles, including pressure washing, hoovering, sweeping, and internal wipe-downs.
  • Support the Fleet Manager with administrative tasks such as mileage charges, parking fines, and fuel card issues.
  • Cover the South Wales area.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Previous roles such as Fleet Administrator, Fleet Support, or similar are desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Experience working directly with customers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong track record of accurate data management.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.
Key Attributes
  • Ensures accuracy in documentation, tracking, and compliance checks.
  • Manages schedules, records, and multiple tasks efficiently without oversight.
  • Works well with operations, procurement, and driver teams to ensure smooth fleet functioning.
  • Comfortable using fleet management systems, GPS tools, and spreadsheets.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to service needs.
