Shunter / LGV C+E Driver - 4 on 4 off covering days and nights - based Burton on Trent

Pay Rate: £42,835 per annumGrade:
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - covering 2 days 06:00-18:00 followed by 2 nights 18:00-06:00Location: Burton on Trent - DE14 1PT

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Shunter / LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Drivers to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Work pattern - Internal shunting duties 4 on 4 off - covering 2 days 06:00-18:00 followed by 2 nights 18:00-06:00
• Primarily internal brewery shunting using a Terberg
• Some weekend trunking of product to other depots - trailer swapping or palletised customer deliveries
• Some RDC work will include some self tip using an electric pump truck
• Overtime and additional shifts available on shunting or trunking
• Will need to a foreman/lead role on the transport shunter
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Candidates must have a MINIMUM of 12 months commercial LGV C+E driving experience.
• Terberg shunting experience and advantage - as fast paced, outdoor work, physical role opening and closing trailer curtains.
• Suitable candidates MUST live locally to Burton Upon Trent DE14 1PT
