This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in metal fabrication to support production at Navantia UK. You will be mentored, attend college, and learn various skills including interpreting technical drawings, operating fabrication tools, and ensuring safety standards.

Reporting to: The Apprenticeship Supervisor and Manager

Job purpose: Manufacturing metal components to support Navantia UK’s production.

What you will learn:

  • Hands-on vocational training and education
  • Practical on-the-job training
  • Mentoring and college attendance

Job Duties include:

  • Maintaining safety and health standards
  • Planning and preparing for fabrication activities
  • Checking materials against specifications
  • Using proper handling and fabrication techniques
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Shaping, forming, and joining metal parts
  • Inspecting and testing fabricated components
  • Documenting work activities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent in Mathematics and English
