Our client is an established design consultancy with a 45-year track record of delivering high-quality design engineering services across the UK. Based in Leicester, their team continues to thrive, offering design solutions for residential, commercial, and education projects of varying complexities. Due to their expanding portfolio and business growth, they are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical design support across a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, light industrial, and heritage/conservation works. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring accurate reports and designs, contributing to the team's continuous development and commitment to client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and lead your own projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  2. Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
  3. Work collaboratively with the engineering department to uphold best practices and improve design services.
  4. Provide technical expertise in the design of structures using Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber materials.
  5. Ensure compliance with British Standards, Eurocodes, and relevant design guidance.
  6. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a UK-based design consultancy.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Strong analytical, communication, and technical design skills.
  5. Excellent written and spoken English.
  6. Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
