Role: Health & Safety Coordinator

Location: Medway - must have own transport

The Health & Safety Coordinator/Manager role is responsible for supporting all Department Managers in ensuring that the organisation complies with all current and future HS legislation. They will also be responsible for the promotion and maintenance of a safe working environment for all company employees, contractors and visitors.

Qualifications:

1. Recognised H&S qualification is required at certificate level.

Essential Experience:

1. Proven experience as an HS Advisor for at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
2. Practical experience of interpreting HS legal requirements and explaining to staff at all levels the implications for the business.
3. Practical experience of translating HS legal requirements into pragmatic solutions.
4. Practical experience of carrying out Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments.
5. Practical experience of managing and auditing contractors' activities.
