About Our Client

My client is a unique and market-leading manufacturing business with a heritage spanning over 50 years. They emphasize company culture and staff development, resulting in low staff turnover and excellent longevity.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform bookkeeping and reconcile purchase ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve purchase ledger discrepancies to ensure accurate product costing.
• Conduct reconciliations for multicurrency bank accounts.
• Assist with intercompany transactions, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Contribute to month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register (FAR) maintenance.
• Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Accurately calculate and report VAT on imports and exports, especially under the UK's Postponed VAT Accounting system for imports.
• Process monthly deferred revenue and maintain relevant schedules.
• Track and analyse weekly sales revenue, providing detailed reports and insights to the finance team.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in management accounts, with experience in a multi-site or multi-entity environment. You should be able to work independently to deadlines and collaborate effectively within a team.
