Management Accountant Role in Altrincham

Are you a driven and determined person looking for an exciting career? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a busy team within a larger group, based in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in management accounting, ideally with experience using the Autoline Rev8 DMS system (also known as Kerridge), and with a keen eye for detail.

This is a full-time, office-based role working 40 hours per week. Benefits include a company car, quarterly and annual bonuses.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Produce accurate monthly management accounts according to group deadlines.
2. Manage sales ledger, purchase ledger, stock, asset register, bank reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations to ensure strong financial controls.
3. Prepare year-end accounts and supporting documents; act as the main contact for year-end audits.
4. Develop mid-month and monthly forecasts.
5. Manage cash flow effectively.
6. Collaborate with management to produce annual budgets.
7. Handle financial reporting, including ONS and composite reporting.
8. Complete accurate and timely VAT returns.
9. Process monthly payroll.
10. Conduct variance analysis to monitor costs within the division.
11. Ensure compliance with group policies and complete the accountant’s checklist monthly.
12. Manage and develop the accounts team.
13. Support business improvements through meaningful financial analysis.
14. Perform other duties as required.

Individual Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably with dealership experience.
2. Good knowledge of the Keyloop (Kerridge) Dealer Management System.
3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work well with others at all levels.
4. Self-motivated with the ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
5. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
6. Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
