Job Description:

Principal Engineer (Criticality) - Help us to make a world of difference. Urenco is a global leader in the production of low carbon energy, working at the forefront of the transition to a sustainable, net-zero world.

We are seeking a Principal Engineer (Criticality) responsible for leading the delivery of criticality assessments, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard. The role involves selecting appropriate assessment methodologies, structuring assessments for clarity and manageability, conducting peer reviews, and providing expert advice on safety cases to the wider UUK business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, reviewing, and approving project plans, producing assessments for Change Modification Proposals, and developing training modules in criticality safety.

Qualifications include a relevant engineering degree, previous senior-level experience as a Criticality or Nuclear Safety Assessor, and a thorough understanding of the UK Regulatory Framework and Regulator expectations regarding criticality submissions.
