Role Summary
The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in creating a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. The role also involves upholding Urban Outfitters' "Peers Training Peers" philosophy.
What You'll Be Doing
People:
- Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging customers through conversation and service.
- Enhance the VIBE by focusing on customers during prime selling hours.
- Provide a store experience that meets the company's mystery shop standards.
- Contribute to the overall VIBE by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others.
- Uphold company standards and act as a positive role model to peers.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Work productively within the team and collaborate towards common goals.
- Assist in training and developing peers.
- Communicate positively and effectively with colleagues.
- Participate actively in daily and departmental meetings.
Operations:
- Demonstrate proficiency in job knowledge, including tills, shipment tasks, and fitting room guidelines.
- Assist in processing new shipments and help keep receiving and back stock areas organized.
- Contribute to the timely and accurate completion of weekly tasks such as markdowns, re-tickets, transfers, and RTVs.
- Follow loss prevention guidelines and inventory control measures.
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations.
Merchandising & Display:
- Maintain store merchandising and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure merchandise is ticketed and the sales floor is well stocked.
- Support sales through merchandising and display projects.
- Stay informed about current products and trends.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience in retail is preferred but not required.
- An awareness of the Urban Outfitters brand and its appeal to the local market.
- Strong communication skills.
