Eastriggs Nursery is seeking a part-time Nursery Nurse for a temporary position. Eastriggs Nursery is seeking a Nursery Nurse to fill a vacancy. The role involves working 14 hours per week for 39 weeks per year, with hours to be discussed at interview. This is a fixed-term post for 1 year, potentially suitable for secondment with prior line manager approval.
The nursery caters to children aged 2-5 years, providing an enriching, nurturing environment both indoors and outdoors to promote independence and curiosity.
Applicants should be educated to SCQF level 7 in Social Services, Children & Young People, HNC Childhood Practice, or an equivalent qualification. The candidate must adapt quickly to meet the educational and social needs of pupils, actively participate in curriculum development, and work collaboratively with staff, colleagues, and parents.
The working hours may be between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, depending on service needs.
Applicants must hold a relevant qualification enabling registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Practitioner of Day Care Children’s Services without conditions. For qualification details, visit: SSSC Qualifications List
Successful applicants will be required to register with the SSSC within 3 months of appointment.
This post involves Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership prior to employment.
Applicants with residence outside the UK within the last 5 years must provide police clearance from the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
