A leading council in Scotland is seeking a part-time Clerical and Administrative Support professional for Kilbowie Primary School. The role involves managing school data, providing reception services, and performing general office duties. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong organisational and communication skills. As this is a term-time, part-time post, the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive clerical and administrative service supporting the operations of Kilbowie Primary School.
You will ensure the smooth running of the school office, provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, and respond to all enquiries via telephone or from visitors. Additionally, you will manage and maintain school data, ensuring all information is up to date and accurately recorded on computerised systems.
General office duties will include photocopying, filing, document preparation, mail recording/distribution, assisting with transport and trips/outings arrangements, and routine cash handling duties such as receiving and recording payments for school activities and uniforms. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
