Job Description

1. Dishwashing: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
2. Kitchen Cleanliness: Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
3. Food Preparation: Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
4. Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
5. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but understanding of the role is necessary; catering/kitchen experience is a plus.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.
