Part-time Study Skills Tutor ASC

GBP 28 per hour plus holiday pay

Randstad Student Support is recruiting Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Workers to assist autistic students at Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln).

The role is hybrid, requiring candidates to travel to the university or college and conduct both in-person and online sessions to accommodate student preferences.

As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, your responsibilities include providing learning support and academic guidance, developing tailored individual learning plans, and encouraging students to become independent learners.

Qualifications

This role requires a strong academic background and relevant autism support training. Candidates must meet the following criteria to comply with the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA):

  1. Hold at least an undergraduate degree (Level 6)
  2. Possess a teaching qualification
  3. Complete extensive training in supporting autistic adults, such as:
    1. 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package), or
    2. The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education
