In Vivo Scientist

£35,000 – £42,000

Are you looking to take the next step in your career and contribute to cutting-edge scientific research? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Scientist to join a dynamic in vivo research team, working on groundbreaking projects in pre-clinical and clinical studies.

The Role

This position is ideal for a motivated individual with hands-on in vivo experience. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Animal care and welfare – primarily working with rodent models
  2. Dosing and sample collection in compliance with Home Office PIL regulations
  3. Monitoring health and well-being of animal models
  4. Designing and conducting in vivo experiments
  5. Handling, oral gavage, and blood collection procedures
  6. Dissection and tissue collection for laboratory analysis
  7. Accurate record-keeping to ensure compliance with Home Office regulations

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • 3+ years of experience in in vivo research
  • Hands-on experience with sample collection, euthanasia, and surgery
  • Experience working with in vivo disease models
  • Ability to independently plan and execute experiments
  • Home Office PIL A and C licences
  • Experience in dosing techniques
