You'll be joining the team leading Entrust's Identity portfolio, including solutions formerly part of Onfido (AI-powered digital identity solution). With the completed acquisition, Entrust now offers the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of AI-powered, identity-centric security solutions.

Our technology helps businesses verify real identities using AI and biometrics, ensuring secure remote customer and business onboarding. By assessing government-issued IDs and facial biometrics with innovative dashboards and fraud signals, we provide companies with the assurance they need to operate securely while allowing people to access services quickly and safely.

Position Overview:

As a Mobile Engineer at Onfido, an Entrust Brand, you will help our R&D organization build and operate resilient, scalable, and delightful experiences for our customers. You will join a talented and friendly team that values quality and robust code. We focus on user and developer experience, working in an agile environment to regularly ship code to production. We are currently seeking an iOS Engineer for the Document Experience group, which owns the end-user experience of capturing documents. This involves developing camera capabilities, on-device image processing, and machine learning to ensure high-quality images while providing a delightful user experience. Our solutions are delivered through Onfido's SDKs (Android, iOS, Swift, React Native, Flutter & Web), embedded into customer applications to facilitate identity verification, emphasizing image quality, accessibility, customization, and user convenience.

Responsibilities:

• Become a technical expert in iOS and Swift, building new products and enhancing existing ones, focusing on improving our SDK document capture experience.
• Design and deliver scalable, highly available, performant, and resilient solutions to support our rapid growth and ensure service robustness.
• Collaborate with product designers, managers, and engineers to deliver excellent user experiences, leveraging your understanding of iOS SDK, API design, and mobile engineering best practices.
• Prototype and iterate on solutions to ensure impact and polish, supporting multiple devices and meeting accessibility standards. Use Swift to develop solutions that simplify SDK integration for customers, applying iOS best practices.
• Improve the reliability and safety of our continuous delivery through test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Foster a culture of psychological safety, inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement by actively participating in retrospectives and providing feedback.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven iOS and Swift experience: 3+ years of hands-on development.
• Good understanding of Apple’s design guidelines, mobile UX principles, and building intuitive, responsive interfaces.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and backend services.
• Strong experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Portfolio of published apps on the App Store.
• Experience with React Native and Flutter.

Location:

This role is based in the UK or Portugal, with a hybrid model allowing fully remote work or office presence. We support flexible working arrangements.
