Bank Handy Person | Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital | Anlaby | Bank

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital are seeking a Handy Person to work on a Bank basis as part of the Engineering & Estates team, providing a comprehensive and cost-effective service within the hospital.

The role involves assisting the Engineering & Estates team with general handyman tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.

Overall Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Engineering & Estates team with general handyman tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  2. Undertake work activities and related training in accordance with Spire Healthcare's health and safety policies.
  3. Maintain estate grounds, buildings, and services in good repair.
  4. Support hospital-wide functions in collaboration with the engineering team.
  5. Carry out small building works, such as internal re-decorations, minor structural alterations, repairs, plumbing, electrical works, etc., coordinating with outside contractors as needed.
  6. Be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  7. Possess experience in painting and decorating or have good DIY skills.
  8. Help maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, patients, and visitors.
  9. Respond promptly to emergencies and take appropriate containment actions.
  10. Report workplace issues that may impact health and safety, supporting others in maintaining safety and security.
  11. Assist in waste and spill disposal to promote a safe work environment.
