Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Salary: £33,680-£37,440

Working Hours: Full-time

Service: Specialist Education

Service Users: Pupils aged 7-19 with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties

Qualifications Required: Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) with a specialism in Science

Experience in Years Required: Experience in teaching Science at various levels, including GCSE, is desirable

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher to join our team at our new independent day school. You will be instrumental in shaping the school’s development and fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This role requires an individual who can:

  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
  • Deliver an engaging Science curriculum spanning Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE.
  • Motivate and inspire children to learn through creative and dynamic teaching methods.
  • Manage complex and challenging behaviours with a trauma-informed and non-judgemental approach.
  • Contribute to decision-making, curriculum development, and extra-curricular activities.
