Looking to join a team where you are valued, and your hard work is appreciated? Tire Factory Distribution has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Associate at our Distribution Center in Memphis, TN. This is a full-time non-exempt position. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with benefits after a waiting period. You will be eligible for a $500 hiring bonus. After 90 days you will have an opportunity to earn an additional $200 per month incentive bonus.

Job Summary:

The primary function of this position is to expedite the incoming and outgoing freight including stocking, pulling, and staging. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good organizational skills. They will be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers accurately and rapidly. Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, and manager) as well as good general math skills are a requirement.

Responsibilities:

1. Pull stock orders and put away merchandise.
2. General housekeeping within the facility.
3. Follow and adhere to all safety rules.
4. Maintain a positive attitude.
5. Process customer orders efficiently.
6. Correctly inspect, mark, and tag all parts for inventory.
7. Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Avoid damaging parts and report any discrepancies to management.
9. Manage daily bin inventory levels replenishing as needed.
10. Pick, pack and ship all ecommerce orders.
11. Operate forklift/order picker safely (training provided) maneuvering around the warehouse.
12. Any other tasks assigned by management.

Preferred Skills:

1. Accurately review records of defective or damaged merchandise for proper completion of claims.
2. Accurately and promptly process incoming and outgoing stock orders, and customer returns to sustain a consistent workflow.
3. Maintain the ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.
4. Knowledge and competency in the utilization of warehouse related computer and bar-coding equipment.

Physical Demands:

1. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and move about facilities.
2. Required to operate equipment.
3. Lift/carry by hand, freight weighing up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
4. Push/pull products of excessive weight using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, puller carts, pallet jacks, etc.
5. Work both independently and in a team environment.
6. Meet or exceed applicable efficiencies standards and expectations.
7. Standing for long periods of time.
8. Experience with operating heavy machinery.
9. Will work in extreme weather conditions (Heat or Cold).

5. Basic computer skills/knowledge.

Schedule:

Day shift. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. In general, this position is assigned regular business hours; however, it is typical to work more than 40 hours per week. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the distribution center supervisor/manager.
