Job description

Our client, a major player in the energy, nuclear, and oil & gas sectors, is seeking a highly skilled Coded Welder for a contract role. This position requires expertise in MMA welding across various materials and thicknesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform welding tasks according to the BS EN ISO 9606-1 standard.
2. Utilise the MMA / 111 welding process.
3. Ensure welds are executed on materials with a thickness above 3mm.
4. Execute Butt Welds and Fillet Welds in all positions except PG (Vertical Down).
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety compliance.
6. Work collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines.
7. Possess NVQ or City and Guilds certificates as specified in the matrix (subject to experience).

Job Requirements:

1. Certification in accordance with BS EN ISO 9606-1.
2. Competency in MMA welding processes for both plate and pipe.
3. Ability to weld materials with a thickness greater than 3mm.
4. Flexibility to work in various positions excluding PG (Vertical Down).
5. CCNSG certification.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
7. Availability to work 10/4 days, generally from 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 07:00 to 15:00 on weekends.
