We are wishing to appoint a Children’s Social Care Assistant with a talent for administration and an interest in supporting teams working with families in South Bristol. The position is available at Symes House in Hartcliffe.
This role will involve managing reception, daily use of spread sheets/data systems and an ability to respond to a wide range of processes. The successful person will work with a range of Bristol City Council departments such as HR, Finance, Facilities Management, and IT.
You will need strong organisation and administrative skills, a capacity to work under pressure, and an ability to be responsive to changes. There will be contact with families and professionals phoning and visiting the building so you will need to be able to respond effectively to enquiries.
Good communication skills and an ability to use initiative to support the work of the team are essential qualities. The key skills necessary are being able to create systems to keep the office functioning, create and use spreadsheets, upload performance information onto a database, administer finance process, and regularly take minutes at meetings.
Please note this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check as the successful candidate will be dealing with highly confidential information about vulnerable people.
