Role Responsibilities
  1. Design and validate reactor cores using deterministic and stochastic methods.
  2. Support manufacturing of reactor cores.
  3. Design experiments and perform measurements in our zero-energy critical benchmarking facility.
  4. Support onboard tests and trials for the UK submarine fleet.
  5. Collaborate with industry partners, civil nuclear sectors, and academia to share knowledge and skills.
  6. Research and develop new methods to enhance reactor physics and operational capabilities.
Candidate Profile

We seek candidates who demonstrate:

  • A relevant degree (undergraduate, master's, or PhD) in engineering, physics, or a scientific field.
  • Experience in reactor physics or the nuclear industry.
  • An analytical mindset with critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate and learn from others.
