Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will play an instrumental role in integrating cutting-edge defence and security systems, delivering decisive advantages to military, government, and civil customers worldwide. Typical Responsibilities Include
  1. Manage and deliver multiple projects within the GD Missions Systems and C4I area.
  2. Lead competitive and non-competitive bids for similar work.
  3. Ensure timely provision of programme deliverables, performance metrics, and progress reports.
  4. Maintain programme budgetary control and effective risk management.
  5. Plan and execute projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  6. Lead project teams, working closely with lead engineers and customer counterparts.
  7. Collaborate with customers, partners, and suppliers in the defence industry.
  8. Deliver projects within allocated time, budget, and quality requirements.
  9. Manage a portfolio of projects of medium complexity.
  10. Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and improvement.

To Be Successful In The Role You Will Bring
  1. Proven experience in programme/project management within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  2. Strong understanding of programme management principles, techniques, and best practices.
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  4. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
  5. Strong leadership skills with a proactive and goal-oriented approach to project delivery.
  6. Expertise in risk management and problem-solving.
  7. Programme Management qualification (e.g., APMP) desirable.
Additional Information

Salary for this position is £45,000 to £58,000, depending on experience, plus our excellent flexible benefits package.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

We offer hybrid working; ideally, we are looking for an average of 2 days per week per month on-site.
