Join us as a UI React Software Engineer within our Private Bank area and be involved in a large-scale modernization and build of a best-in-class, mobile-first app used by 10,000 clients. This is a great opportunity to work on a greenfield project using the latest technology and learn from experts.

To be successful as a UI React Software Engineer within this team, you should have:

1. Experience with React, React Testing Library, React Query, and TypeScript
2. Previous experience in Financial Services or with large entities
3. Mentoring junior peers

Additional highly valued skills may include:

1. A computing degree
2. Exposure to Java
3. Experience with cloud providers, ideally AWS

This role will be based out of our Glasgow Campus.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

1. Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
2. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
3. Participation in code reviews and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
4. Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities.
5. Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
6. Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
