Cambridge Assessment is seeking examiners for the STEP Mathematics (Sixth Term Examination Paper) this summer. Candidates must be current or former Mathematics PhD students or recent Part III students, residing in the UK. Marking will be conducted remotely, with flexible hours and training provided. Payment is £21.00 per hour, with marking windows from 30th June to 16th July.
OCR is seeking to recruit examiners to mark the STEP Mathematics (Sixth Term Examination Paper) this summer.
STEP is a well-established mathematics examination designed to test candidates on questions similar in style to undergraduate mathematics. There are two STEP examinations, STEP 2 and STEP 3. Students typically sit either one or both exams, depending on university requirements. More information about STEP Mathematics can be found here.
Eligibility criteria for marking STEP Mathematics include:
Marking windows are from 30th June to 7th July for STEP 2 and 9th July to 16th July for STEP 3.
Marking will be conducted remotely, with all training and communication online, allowing marking from home. Candidates need access to a personal computer and internet connection (public computers or WiFi are not permitted during marking).
Successful applicants will be invited to a remote training session via Microsoft Teams in June, providing an overview of the process, familiarization with the platform, and practice marking. A fee will be paid for training attendance. If unable to attend live, a recording will be available.
Each team will mark one or two questions per paper, guided by a provided mark scheme and overseen by a marking supervisor.
Payment is £21.00 per hour, with typical days involving around seven hours of marking. Flexibility is offered regarding working hours based on your availability.
