Python SQL Azure Software Engineer - Corporate Finance, London (City of London)

Growing and transformational financial services firm seeking a Senior Python SQL Developer to play a key role in its technology and innovation strategy.

The successful candidate will join our delivery-focused and rapidly expanding technology and transformation team. They will enhance the firm's data-driven decision-making capabilities by utilising the latest technologies and AI tools used across the business and software development functions.

Ideal candidates will be ambitious, entrepreneurial, and energetic, eager to learn and grow within a high-performance team.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the technology and innovation strategy to support strategic growth by employing AI tools to derive insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
• Enhance the existing technology ecosystem.

Key Skills required:

• Python: Strong skills in Python programming, capable of building applications from concept to production, with a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle.
• SQL: Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, etc.
• Microsoft Azure: Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power Platform.
• AI Tools: Ability to create custom GPTs and chatbots using AI tools like Google Gemini API, Anthropics Claude AI, Microsoft CoPilot, and OpenAI's ChatGPT.
• Interest in financial products.
• Stakeholder communication and expectation management skills.
• BSc in a technical field, ideally computer science.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience.
