Care Assistant Residential Care Nottingham

Are you a passionate Care Assistant looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to work within a Residential Care Home based in Mansfield.

Pay Rates: GBP12.20 - GBP14.11

Role Information: Successful candidates will be offered ad hoc work with shifts scheduled as they become available. Shift patterns may vary between 7:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 7:00.

Responsibilities:
  1. Follow care and support plans respecting the dignity of each service user and tenant.
  2. Promote independence by maintaining good health, hygiene, and personal care, including dressing, washing, shaving, and toileting.
  3. Support access to work, education, or training.
  4. Encourage participation in leisure activities, community engagement, and cultural beliefs.
  5. Maintain communication with family and friends, and foster new relationships.
  6. Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping as instructed.
  7. Assist with medication administration as directed.
  8. Maintain accurate service user records and provide up-to-date information.
  9. Support clients who may exhibit behavioral challenges.
  10. Use IT systems for record-keeping and communication with team and stakeholders.
  11. Provide coaching and feedback to team members, observing practices.
  12. Other duties as required, commensurate with the role's grade.
Skills & Professional Characteristics:
  • Understand and comply with policies on Finance, Technology Services, Data Protection, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, and other departmental policies related to responsibilities.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience supporting clients with challenging behaviors, non-verbal communication, autism, or requiring personal care.
  • UK Driving License.
  • Enhanced DBS check with barred list (desirable).
