Job Description:
The IT Security Manager is a hands-on management position with excellent knowledge of the technologies in use by the IT Security team. Responsible for coaching, mentoring, defining processes, policies, and working practices. Ensures compliance with company standards and legislation, manages infosec incidents, and participates as a member of the IT Management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the IT Security team.
- Ensure project deadlines are met.
- Contribute to IT strategy and projects.
- Manage IT security incident response and investigations.
- Assess and improve system security.
- Handle data according to legal and company standards.
- Manage costs and budgets for IT security.
- Work with IT Management on vendor contracts and licenses.
- Develop security policies with the Group head of Business Systems.
- Oversee training and development of the security team.
- Evaluate team performance and report monthly.
- Manage team resources to support business needs.
- Stay updated with security practices and policies.
- Implement and monitor security systems.
- Investigate security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Report on risks and mitigation actions.
- Address vulnerabilities to maintain high security standards.
- Research and recommend security enhancements.
- Conduct penetration testing.
- Educate colleagues on security management.
- Support secure application delivery and releases.
- Participate in security audits internally and with third parties.
Candidate Criteria
- Extensive experience in IT Security within a global environment.
- Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with data protection laws like GDPR.
- Ability to identify knowledge gaps and implement training plans.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience coaching and mentoring security teams.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
