As an Assistant Water Quality Process Scientist, you will be part of our operational Process Science Team, responsible for ensuring that the drinking water supplied to the public meets high-quality standards. Your role involves collaborating with operations to perform performance checks on water treatment assets, analyzing laboratory test results from treatment processes to consumers' taps, and advising on optimizing drinking water treatment.
This is a new role designed to support the team through data analysis, assisting with performance checks, managing investigatory sampling, and administering risk management systems. You will also help manage evidence for internal and Inspectorate audits.
You will support the maintenance of water quality standards in compliance with legislation by assisting in the operation and optimization of existing and new assets, ensuring the highest quality water supply and monitoring treatment process efficiency.
With a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong communication and IT skills, this role offers excellent opportunities for development within the water industry. The role requires site visits; therefore, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary.
While experience in the water industry or relevant environmental, engineering, or scientific qualifications are preferred, a strong desire to learn about the water industry is essential. Comprehensive training will be provided.
