You will be a part of an outstanding technical pre-sales team in our Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), responsible for driving the success of Cisco’s Security Portfolio and focusing on protecting Customer Application Environments, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

Your Impact

You will provide guidance and assist Security Sellers and Account teams within the territory in a pre-sales technical role. Your responsibilities include showcasing Cisco security product solutions, setting up demonstrations, explaining features and benefits, and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer security needs. You will build relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Cisco security solutions effectively.

As a customer advisor, you’ll work with technology experts to craft architectures and configure products to meet customer needs. You’ll lead all technical aspects of pre-sales activities, position security solutions against competitors, develop and execute sales strategies, and articulate Cisco’s product and business strategies.

Your specific duties include:

  • Serving as the subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions.
  • Guiding account teams in building solutions to address customer security needs.
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Understanding and articulating Cisco’s security architecture and services.
  • Creating, presenting, and documenting technical solutions.
  • Performing high-level technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
  • Driving major account opportunities while allowing local teams to maintain long-term ownership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Passion for customer experience and enthusiasm for new technology.
  • Minimum of 4 years in technical sales or pre-sales, with at least 2 years in Security specialization (Firewall/IPS, SIEM/XDR, NDR, EDR, SASE/SSE).
  • Successful quota achievement.
  • Proven success in managing and winning high-value IT security projects.
  • Experience with low-layer IP networking and network security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • BS/BA in EE/CS or equivalent preferred.
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Cisco security technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI, and industry certifications (CISSP, GIAC, etc.) is desirable.
