Randstad is currently working with a number of schools in the Cumbria region, seeking additional tutoring support for their SEN pupils. This includes following an EHCP plan. Sessions are conducted face-to-face and online, aiming to build pupils' knowledge and confidence.
We are eager to hear from inspiring QTS, NQTs, Teaching Assistants with Level 1-3 qualifications, HLTA certification, or graduates considering a career in education. Ideally, you will have your DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one.

Key Responsibilities
- Working with small group cohorts from 1:1 to 1:6
- Following EHCP Plans
- Working with SEN pupils with challenging behaviours
- Creating lesson plans tailored to students' learning styles
- Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
- Delivering engaging sessions to support various learning styles
- Driving measurable outcomes from each session to assess impact
- Collaborating with educational and care stakeholders to support students
- Working in accordance with KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines
Desired Experience
- Experience in tutoring one-to-one or small groups requiring additional support
- Constructive approach to supervision and correction
- Experience in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions
- Experience working with students with SEN, undiagnosed SEN, disengaged youth, or looked-after children
Additional Responsibilities
- Demonstrating academic competence and creating individual lesson plans
- Assessing progress and recording attainment levels
- Assisting students with homework, projects, and exam preparation
- Helping students understand key concepts learned in class
- Contributing to students' learning and growth
- Maintaining a growth mindset in teaching practices
- Collaborating with schools, foster carers, and social workers for tailored support
- Adhering to KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines
Essential Qualities
- Inspirational, effective, and flexible communication skills
- Proficient IT skills with access to a laptop/computer, audio, and visual equipment
- Stable broadband and internet connection
- Ability to develop meaningful relationships, encourage, and motivate students
Pay scale: GBP 25.00 - GBP 28.00 P.A.Y.E
