Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Salary/Benefits: 25k – 31k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a UKAS accredited Asbestos firm, who have operated for over two decades across the South of England. They are seeking a thorough Asbestos Lab Analyst in the South East. You will be conducting comprehensive analysis of samples and updating company records accordingly, ensuring to work in a methodical and organised manner. This role would suit candidates who would like to join a supportive and successful outfit who can offer well–rounded training schemes. Salaries are competitive and come with attractive benefits.


Experience / Qualifications:

  1. Applicants must have experience undertaking bulk analysis of ACM samples within a UKAS accredited laboratory
  2. Must be qualified with BOHS P401
  3. Will have strong written and IT proficiency
  4. Working knowledge of UKAS and HSG guidelines
  5. Able to organise and prioritise your own workload
  6. Detail–oriented approach to work

The Role:

  1. You will be conducting bulk analysis of ACMs through PLM and Stereo Microscopy processes
  2. Safely handling and storing samples
  3. Logging results from sampling
  4. Creating and issuing certificates for clients
  5. Participating in AIMS and quality assurance checks
  6. Working to agreed deadlines
  7. Keeping the laboratory tidy and in good working order
  8. Working on company databases to input and receive data
