An exciting opportunity has arisen at HM Land Registry (HMLR) for three HR Support Desk Advisers to join the HR Group. If you have experience of delivering excellent customer service and have an awareness of HR policy and procedure, we would love to hear from you.
Job Description
Working as part of a team, you will provide professional first-line customer service support to managers and staff across the organisation on all areas of HR policy, process, and payroll queries. You will undertake a variety of HR transactional and administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle in an accurate and timely manner, for example; employment changes, absence management, pay and pensions, retirement, and resignations. Delivery of the service is from a central office in a contact centre environment, communicating by telephone and email.

Person specification
You will have an awareness of HR policy and procedure and experience of administering HR processes, including experience of working as part of a team and delivering excellent customer service, ensuring the customer is at the heart of your actions. With effective time management skills, you can organise and prioritise your own workload and communicate effectively with staff of all grades. You can adapt positively to change and self-motivate, taking responsibility for own development. Computer skills, including basic level Excel is essential.
The postholders must be located in Nottingham due to the location of the team. There are two permanent posts available as well as a fixed-term appointment until the end of June 2026.
We offer flexible working hours but you will be required to work on a rota basis between the team covering the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The minimum number of hours if not full-time are 30 hours/5 days per week.
HMLR believe that a blended approach to where you work that enables some time working from home, as well as in the office may give you an improved experience and has clear business benefits. We expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office. Beyond this expectation, there is no one size fits all approach (and we can spend up to 100% working in the office if we prefer).
