Job description

A leading offshore law firm is looking to appoint a technically strong funds lawyer to its expanding London office. This rare opportunity allows lawyers to advise on Cayman Islands fund structures while remaining based in the UK’s financial capital.

Working as part of the largest dedicated Cayman funds team in London, the successful candidate will advise an established client base of European asset managers and institutional investors on the structuring, launch, and ongoing operation of hedge, private equity, and hybrid funds. The practice benefits from longstanding relationships across the investment management industry and is led by partners with deep Cayman expertise.

Key focus areas include:

  • Formation and structuring of Cayman-domiciled funds
  • Regulatory and compliance advice across the fund lifecycle
  • Investor negotiations and governance matters
  • Ongoing advisory on commercial, restructuring and exit scenarios

Candidate Requirements:

Applicants should have up to 4 years’ PQE with experience in investment funds, financial services regulatory, or corporate law, ideally from a well-regarded international firm. Offshore experience helpful but is not required as full training on Cayman Islands law will be provided.

Additional requirements:

  • Strong academic credentials and drafting ability
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement
  • A collaborative, client-service-oriented approach

This position offers a unique blend of international work and London-based practice, together with a competitive salary, hybrid working model, and structured career development within a high-performing, well-integrated team.
