Job Title: Systems Engineering and Verification Opportunities - Submarines

Type: Full Time / Part Time

Location: Derby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Systems & Verification Engineers to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. Our Systems Engineering and Verification Engineers are responsible for overseeing our products to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements. This is an integration role where you will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to develop robust, verified engineering solutions against validated customer requirements.

Our hybrid working model allows flexibility between the office, home, or remote locations, with an expectation of attending the workplace approximately three days per week for collaboration and specific activities.

Responsibilities
  • Interface with external and internal stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements
  • Set the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for projects
  • Ensure requirements validation and verification to mitigate technical risks
  • Develop verification strategies, plans, and product development documentation
  • Manage creation of substantiation evidence and acceptance documentation
  • Support and coach teams on Systems Engineering, Validation, and Verification activities
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering
  • Experience in the nuclear industry is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with SE software applications like DOORS or CAMEO
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in delivery and program management
