Job description

Whitehall Resources is seeking an Azure Data Analyst for a hybrid role based in Windsor, initially for 6 months, inside IR35.

Job Description:

1. Interpret large, complex data sets to generate meaningful insights.
2. Gather data from various sources within the Azure ecosystem, ensuring data quality and transforming it for analysis.
3. Design and build data models to support analysis and reporting.
4. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout its lifecycle.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights.
6. Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, accessibility, and analysis.

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to identify patterns and draw conclusions.
2. Knowledge of the Energy Utility domain, particularly Smart Meter processes.
3. Proficiency in statistical methods and techniques for data analysis.
4. Experience in designing and building data models.
5. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
6. SQL skills for querying and manipulating data in Azure databases.
7. Understanding of Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
8. Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.

Experience:

1. At least 15 years of total IT experience, with specific experience in the Energy Utilities domain and Smart Metering projects.
2. Minimum of 10 years of Data Analyst experience on the MS Azure platform.
