Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or diploma with a major in Human Resources
• Two to three years of relevant work experience
• Experience in recruitment and selection required
• Experience in public speaking or giving presentations required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
• Understanding of immigration issues and programs would be an asset
• CHRP considered an asset
• Driver's license & reliable vehicle

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Provide responsive, efficient, customer-focused service to candidates and managers
• Facilitate hiring process for internal and external attraction, including screening resumes and conducting interviews
• Ensure processes are in line with legislation and best practices
• Handle attraction and onboarding of new employees, developing the Northwood brand and activities
• Develop and maintain external partnerships and networks
• Build relationships with stakeholders such as payroll, recruitment system providers, and organizational health
• Coordinate attraction and selection processes with hiring managers to identify talent
• Work with the team to develop recruitment plans that meet workforce needs
• Manage reference checks, criminal record searches, health clearances, and other employment checks
• Represent Northwood at job fairs and recruitment initiatives
• Manage large volume recruitment campaigns and provide guidance on attraction strategies
• Complete onboarding of new hires
• Advise managers and staff on employment checks and verification procedures
• Coach managers and staff on best practices in recruitment and selection
• Support system navigation and provide system training for new users
• Research and implement innovative talent attraction methods
• Develop recruitment strategies including internal promotions and redeployment
• Maintain communication links with internal and external clients
• Perform other duties as required

Hours: 80 Hours Biweekly
