Job summary

Modis International Ltd is seeking a Software Testing Engineer for a long term contract based in Stevenage. The role focuses on end-to-end software testing at scale, with emphasis on Python coding and agile SCRUM practices.

Requirements include ISTQB certification and experience with testing tools such as HP, IBM ALM/ETM, Doors, and JIRA. The candidate will lead test planning, execution, and reporting across development cycles.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end software testing at scale/large complex programs.
• Proficient in Python coding.
• Familiarity with HP, IBM ALM/ETM, Doors, JIRA tools.
• Knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodologies.
• ISTQB certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform software testing based on formal requirements and interpreted customer needs.
• Define software test bed requirements and understand design/architecture.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, designs, and specifications.
• Conduct regular software testing and quality assurance throughout development cycles.
• Lead investigations into defects and emergent behaviours.
• Support external software integration, trials and demonstrations with partners and customers.
• Analyze logs data to identify issues and demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Execute formal software qualification testing and report progress to stakeholders.
• Write detailed software test and analysis reports for certification purposes.
• Assist with delivery and release processes, including final certification activities.
