Pastoral and Spiritual Wellbeing Practitioner
We are seeking an experienced Pastoral and Spiritual Wellbeing Practitioner with a background in leading spiritual and holistic development activities within an educational setting. The ideal candidate will have empathetic listening skills, the ability to handle sensitive issues, and a comprehensive understanding of major world religions. This role is based at Avanti Gardens School, part of the Avanti Schools Trust, located in Bristol, South West England.
SALARY: £27,715 - £29,578 FTE / Approx. £4,433 - £4,731 (0.15994 FTE) annually
LOCATION: Bristol, South West England (BS16)
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)
WORKING HOURS: 7.5 hours per week during term time
This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the holistic development of students and staff—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally—in alignment with the school's ethos and values. The practitioner will provide one-to-one emotional and spiritual support and facilitate reflective discussion groups for pupils, staff, and parents.
The organisation is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All staff and volunteers must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, unless already covered within the DBS re-check cycle. Satisfactory references and other pre-employment checks are required prior to appointment.
