Job description

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor to look after the Steel Erection package on a 12-month contract for its Scotland site.

The Mechanical Supervisor role comes with competitive rate per day.


Key skills:

* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and mechanical crews involved in:
* Structural steel erection (frames, platforms, supports)
* Installation of large-bore and small-bore ducting systems
* Assembly and installation of ACC units and associated pipework

* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site HSE procedures and industry best practices
* Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements
* Monitor progress against project schedules and provide daily/weekly reports
* Inspect mechanical works to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications
* Raise and manage site queries, non-conformances, and technical issues
* Liaise with engineering, planning, quality, and safety teams
* Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Ensure materials and equipment are available and correctly stored or handled
* Support commissioning and handover activities as required

* Scotland
* Outside IR35
