About the Role:

EG Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures supporting business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background in data engineering, modern data platforms, and collaboration skills. Extensive experience with big data technologies, cloud platforms, and database systems is essential to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure data flow across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, MS SQL Server, and other technologies to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.
2. Develop and implement data models, schemas, and architecture solutions to support analytics and business intelligence.
3. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and identify data trends and opportunities.
4. Improve data processing efficiency, reduce latency, and ensure high data availability.
5. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to identify and resolve data issues promptly.
6. Maintain comprehensive documentation for data systems, architectures, and pipelines, aligning with industry standards and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Data Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and MS SQL Server.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
