Job description

Pipe/Vessel Fabricator

Location: Kidderminster

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Overview

Are you a skilled fabricator with a background in pressure pipework or vessel construction? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and adaptable individual to join a growing production team within a well-established manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out fabrication duties in line with quality standards and engineering best practices
2. Safely operate tools such as oxyacetylene cutters, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
3. Undertake simple T.I.G welding tasks (non-coded)
4. Interpret and work from engineering drawings with precision
5. Recommend process improvements and assist in technical discussions
6. Contribute to peripheral tasks including assembly and packing where needed
7. Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards in the workplace

Essential Requirements

1. Proven experience in fabricating pressure pipework or vessels
2. Competent in the use of fabrication tools and welding for basic applications
3. Strong understanding of engineering drawings
4. Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English preferred but not essential

Working Hours

40-hour week:

• Monday to Thursday: 8.5-hour shift (with 30-minute lunch)
• Friday: 6-hour shift (no lunch break)
• Overtime available based on workload
