About the Role

Strategic Migration Partnerships (SMPs) are funded by the Home Office and the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to coordinate and support delivery of UK Government protection-based programmes as well as agreed devolved migration priorities. SMPs work with stakeholders in the statutory, voluntary, private, and community sectors to provide strategic leadership, advisory, and coordination functions on migration in their regions and nations. Hosted by the Welsh Local Government Association, the WSMP undertakes this role in Wales.

1. Build bridges between the WSMP, Hong Kongers in Wales, host communities, and service providers.
2. Support the establishment and delivery of physical community hubs for Hong Kongers and related activities, including presence at events and/or providing advice and guidance.
3. Assist the Hong Kong BN(O) Lead in addressing key issues identified through surveys and research reports on Hong Kongers in Wales/UK by engaging and communicating effectively with the community.
