Job description

Job Title: Kitchen Fitter in Poole

Salary: £17.99 per hour (PAYE)

Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake work as directed by supervisors, the Repairs Centre through DRS, and the mobile working system.
  2. Complete high-quality and efficient repairs that are right first time, considering long-term maintenance and repair.
  3. Interact with clients to ensure excellent customer care—show ID, explain work and any restricted access areas, keep clients informed, and communicate the outcome. Ensure the site is safe, clean, and tidy after work. Do not dispose of building refuse on site, smoke, or use inappropriate language. Maintain politeness and report wellbeing concerns to HR and Operations Supervisor. Focus on delivering excellent customer service through quality work, positive interactions, and problem resolution. Develop a professional, client-facing approach both on-site and in the office.
  4. Work efficiently to complete jobs on the first visit whenever possible. Collaborate with the planner to ensure resources and staff time are effectively managed with realistic timeframes.
  5. Check the SOR codes booked to the job, zero out unused codes, and add any completed codes not yet recorded. Select correct materials from the device, seeking supervisor advice if unsure.
  6. Complete all safety check forms, read email communications, conduct daily van safety checks, and complete all required paperwork and safety inspections.
  7. Ensure the availability of the correct information, training, equipment, and PPE to perform the job safely. Follow safe systems of work, and consult supervisors or the Health and Safety Manager if in doubt. Comply with Health and Safety policies and RAMs.
  8. Order materials efficiently and communicate with Procurement and Pricing Supervisor regarding issues or suggestions.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized van as a work environment.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
